Finding An Apartment - Where to Start
The first step to finding an apartment in New York City is to decide where in the city you’d like to live.
New York City is made up of five separate borough: Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn, Staten Island, and Queens. Many people prefer to live in Manhattan because it’s where many jobs are located, and because the social and cultural outlets are second to none. However, people choosing to live in one of the other four boroughs find that apartments are much cheaper, but the trade-off is that they must commute into the city for work.
